THE MATCHSTICK POT | Jess Ellis Ceramics

A frilly match pot, hand-thrown on the wheel and shaped by hand to create its ruffled rim. Each comes with a strike sticker for the base and, when the matches run out, makes a rather lovely little pot for pansies or other small treasures.

THE SNAIL PLANT POT | Jess Ellis Ceramics

A wheel-thrown plant pot with a hand-shaped frilly rim and a rather charming little snail making its way up the side. Complete with a drainage hole and matching saucer.

Each pot is thrown and altered by hand before the snail is individually sculpted and added. The frilly form and position of the snail vary from piece to piece, making each one entirely unique.

OAKLEAF | Bruce Fine Papers x Notswolds

Oakleaf is a richly layered all-over pattern that brings warmth, rhythm and quiet character to a room.

Drawn from a historic design in the Bruce Fine Papers archive, the original was discovered pasted to the back of a picture frame and is thought to date from the 18th or 19th century. Carefully restored, it is now reissued using traditional hand block printing, preserving the softness, depth and irregular beauty of the original.

With its scrolling leaf forms and balanced repeat, Oakleaf feels both decorative and enduring, equally at home in a country house, townhouse or more contemporary interior.

MALTON DIAMOND | BRUCE FINE PAPERS x NOTSWOLDS

Inspired by the repeating geometric patterns of domino papers, small printed sheets used across Europe in the 18th century to line walls, cupboards, drawers and boxes, Malton Diamond reimagines one of wallpaper’s earliest decorative forms for the modern interior.

Drawn from material kindly donated to the Bruce Fine Papers archive by the Legard family of Scampston Hall, Malton Diamond translates the sense of rhythm and order of domino papers into a refined diamond motif that brings texture, depth and charm to a room.

The original motif was donated to the Bruce Fine Papers archive and has been reworked as part of our wider collaboration, presented in a palette inspired by the Notswolds. Soft chalked blues, greens and earth pigments drawn from the surrounding landscape and architecture.

A beautifully crafted flower press, handmade in solid English oak and designed to be used again and again.

Substantially made, weighing around 2.5kg, the solid oak boards are smooth and flat internally, with British-made brass fittings providing even pressure as flowers and foliage dry.

Supplied with six layers of traditional blotting paper and recycled card, ready to fill with finds from the garden, hedgerow or meadow.

A wheel-thrown ceramic plant pot with a hand-shaped ruffled rim and delicate ceramic bow. Complete with a matching saucer and drainage hole.

Each pot is thrown and altered by hand, with the ruffles individually shaped and the bow formed around the centre. Each tulipiere is distinct, with its own arrangement of folds, curves and proportions, the natural result of Jess’s hand-making process. The piece you receive will therefore differ slightly from those pictured.

Part of Jessica Osborne’s Woven Collection, Xantha Cross draws on antique darning samplers and hand-drawn geometric patterns, bringing together playful colour, texture and a more timeless approach to pattern. Woven in England at a 10th-generation family-run mill, the fabric balances craftsmanship and character with a contemporary sensibility that feels equally at home in a townhouse or layered country interior.

THE RUSH BENCH | Summerfield + Scott

A beautifully made, contemporary bench in solid ash with a hand-woven rush seat, made in Northamptonshire by Summerfield + Scott.

The landscape around Summerfield + Scott’s workshop provides much of what they need: ash from the Boughton Estate and rush from the River Ise, both grown within a few short miles of where the bench is made.

Finished simply with linseed oil, the materials are allowed to do much of the talking: warm timber, natural rush and the small variations that come with making each piece individually.

A lower shelf adds useful storage, making it a hardworking piece for a hallway, bedroom or around the dining table.

A generously sized working trug, handmade in English oak in Rutland.

Divided into two compartments with a balanced flat handle, it is finished with considered details including traditional corner joinery and a French nail securing the handle.

Made to be put to work, its purpose depends entirely on where it lands. At 39 × 20 cm, there is ample room for paintbrushes and artists' materials, hand tools, gardening gloves and secateurs, bottles and jars, or cutlery and napkins for a tableful.

Designed to carry a little more, from the kitchen to the studio, workshop or garden. For the artist, the gardener, the cook, the maker, or simply the person who likes useful things beautifully made.

Drawn from material kindly donated to the Bruce Fine Papers archive by the Legard family of Scampston Hall, the design is rooted in the enduring appeal of the English country garden.

Inspired by a house celebrated for its gardens, where the landscapes of Capability Brown and Piet Oudolf meet across the grounds, it sits naturally within the Notswolds palette of soft greens, chalked blues and earth tones.

The Chapel Lantern is a collaboration between celebrated lighting designer Maxwell Barlow Lighting and Notswolds, taking its cue from the Georgian buildings that define much of the Notswolds landscape.

Drawing on the proportion and restraint of the period, the Chapel Lantern is a structured, architectural light suited to both traditional and modern interiors.

Handmade in the Notswolds, each lantern is shaped by traditional metalworking techniques, with a hand-beaten top and carefully worked frame. Finished with an opal glass shade that gives a soft, even light, it is available in a range of finishes.

THE RUTLAND SHELVES | JC + CO

Originally commissioned for the British Antique Dealers’ Show, the Rutland Shelves are a contemporary take on a traditional piece of English furniture.

Made in fumed oak, decoratively shaped shelves are held between uprights featuring traditional cotton-reel turning. The fuming deepens the natural colour of the oak and brings out the character of its grain, while the distinctive silhouette gives the piece a more playful, decorative presence.

Made in England by JC+CO, the shelves bring together accomplished furniture making, a deep understanding of wood and a willingness to play with the traditions of the craft.

A contemporary take on the traditional milking stool, made in solid hardwood with a hand-woven rush seat by Summerfield + Scott in Northamptonshire.

Small in stature but surprisingly useful, its pared-back timber frame is topped with rush harvested and prepared by hand, then woven in the workshop using traditional techniques. Each stool is made individually, with variations in the timber grain, colour and rush weave giving every piece its own character.

Designed to move around the house and find its own purpose — beside the bath, next to a bed, as a footstool or a seat for smaller members of the household. A familiar piece of country furniture, reconsidered for the contemporary home.
