About Charles Laurie London

Inspired by an ancestor who ran a saddlery business in the 1800s, Charlie began his leather working journey at Capel Manor College. Awarded the Excellence in Saddlery Bursary from the Worshipful Company of Saddlers, and later apprenticed with one of London’s leading leather goods makers, he brings both heritage and exceptional technical skill to the workshop. He was awarded the prestigious Cockpit Arts Leathersellers’ Award and Bursary for three consecutive years, recognising both his craftsmanship and innovation

Now based in Rutland, in a region long connected to leather and saddlery, Charlie’s minimalist work is defined by clarity of design and a careful, exacting finish. The result is a stylish, timeless piece, made by hand and designed to be used every day.
