SHOW SEASON

From sheep fairs and ploughing matches to fat stock shows and village days, these are the events that sit at the centre of rural life. Part competition, part social calendar, and part record of how the land is worked and understood. Many have been running for generations, some centuries, shaped by the same rhythms of season, weather and place.

We’ve brought together the key dates across the Notswolds, a guide to the shows and gatherings that continue to define the year.
