  • Corby Glen Sheep Fair

    2-4 October 2026

    Rooted in medieval tradition, the 788th Sheep Fair and Glen Fest returns for a full weekend of celebration shaped by centuries of local history. What began as a historic sheep fair has grown into a lively gathering of music, food, craft stalls and community spirit, with classic cars, birds of prey, a dog show and family entertainment running from Friday evening through to Sunday.

  • Arthur Swallow Antiques and Home Show

    14 October 2026

    Since 1995, the Antiques & Home Show has been a must-visit for collectors, designers, and lovers of unique style. Discover everything from fine antiques and vintage treasures to one-of-a-kind curios - perfect for inspired interiors and creative spaces.

  • Newark International Antiques Fair

    15-16 October 2026

    Held just outside Newark, the Newark International Antiques & Collectors Fair is the largest antiques fair of its kind in Europe. With up to 1,500 stands, it draws trade buyers, collectors, and curious browsers alike, offering everything from furniture and jewellery to vintage clothing, vinyl, and rare collectibles.

  • Belton House

    Halloween with a playful twist. Last year saw half-term activities built around mischief and storytelling, including themed trails, crafts, and a puzzle-solving mystery guide that invited families to explore the house and grounds while uncovering who stole the plum cakes from the kitchen!

  • Grimsthorpe

    Halloween at Grimsthorpe Castle brings the castle back to life for half term with a week of spooky, family-friendly activities. Expect Grim Castle tours and storytelling, garden hunts, eerie woodland walks, and plenty of atmosphere, with fancy dress encouraged and prizes up for grabs as the week unfolds.

  • Boughton House

    Halloween at Boughton House centres on classic autumn fun, with a pumpkin patch, a spooky garden trail, and traditional games across the grounds, from pumpkin bowling and apple dooking to graveyard mini golf. Food stalls in the courtyard round out a relaxed, family-friendly day.

  • Belvoir Castle

    Halloween at Belvoir Castle has become an annual fixture, known for its story-led, family-friendly approach. Last year’s Enchanted Halloween Trail saw families follow a glowing path through the grounds in search of Count Fangula, alongside pumpkin decorating and cosy storytime sessions, setting the tone for a playful and imaginative autumn event.

  • Clumber Park

    Halloween in the park usually centres on themed trails, with clues and riddles for families to solve as they explore. Trick-or-treat goodie bags add to the fun, keeping things playful, outdoor, and designed to suit all ages rather than full-scale fright.

  • Rockingham Castle

    Halloween at Shockingham Castle with into playful mischief for half term, with witches and wizards welcoming families to dress up and join in. Expect a carved pumpkin trail and crossword through the castle, spooky garden games, hands-on challenges beneath the towers, and seasonal treats waiting in the tearoom.

  • Lyveden

    In previous years, Halloween at Lyveden has included a Tudor-inspired trail through the lodge and moated garden, hunting for giant apples in the orchard and taking part in traditional games. After hours, Haunted Halloween Stories have seen adults and older children gather by the fire for evenings of eerie storytelling.

  • Bowthorpe Park Farm

    Set on a family farm and home to the Bowthorpe Oak, the UK’s largest girthed oak tree, this much loved rural destination hosts relaxed, family friendly days out throughout the year, including its popular pumpkin patch and seasonal Halloween activities.

  • Doddington Hall

    Take your pick from more than thirty varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds, filling the field in a warm celebration of the season. Enter via the Gatehouse in front of the Elizabethan Hall and follow the spooky walk through the Kitchen Garden to the Pumpkin Patch. Wellies are essential, and Halloween fancy dress is very much encouraged.

  • Art Social, Curious Magpie

    1 October 2026

    A regular creative event hosted by  @art.social.uk, held on the first Thursday of each month. Drop in to draw, paint, and experiment with materials. Supplies provided and a relaxed, bring-your-own-tipple atmosphere.
