Handcrafted in small batches, this charming large square cushion is upholstered in naturally dyed linen by Madder & Cutch and finished with a tailored Oxford trim.

Printed and coloured using 100% plant dye colourants, the fabric carries the richness, softness and subtle variation that comes through traditional dyeing processes. The Woad colourway is a deep, earthy blue inspired by traditional natural dyes, bringing richness and depth while still feeling soft and organic through the natural character of the cloth.

Balancing a contemporary use of colour with the timeless quality of hand crafted textiles, it feels as at home in a modern townhouse as it does in a layered country interior.

Our cushions are made in England in small batches, using fabrics produced through slower, more considered methods of making. From hand screen printing to plant-based dyes and natural fibres, each element reflects a belief in craftsmanship shaped by skill, material knowledge and longevity rather than mass production.

We believe there is real value in continuing to make soft furnishings properly in Britain, supporting the textile designers, print studios and small upholsterers keeping these traditions alive today. The fabrics we choose are made by people whose work we admire, combining contemporary design with techniques and processes rooted in generations of craftsmanship.

  • Printed in small batches using natural plant dyes, the fabric is produced by Madder & Cutch, a Stamford based studio known for its rich colours, natural fibres and thoughtful approach to traditional dyeing techniques. Working entirely with plant-based pigments, their textiles have a depth and softness that comes from slower methods of making and the slight variations that naturally occur by hand.

    We were drawn to the fabric for its warmth, character and graphic simplicity. It feels equally at home in a more contemporary interior or a layered country house, bringing colour and pattern in a way that still feels grounded and timeless.
